died Sept. 1, 2014.
Mrs. Linden
graduated from
Wayne University
Linden
and was an
c. 1961
award-winning
elementary school teacher, a Boy
Scout and Girl Scout leader, and
PTA president. She sang in many
choruses and was very active in
Adat Shalom's sisterhood. She was
awarded the prestigious Heart of
Gold medallion for outstanding
community service.
She is survived by her four chil-
dren, Dr. Jill Linden (Dr. Arthur

Aug. 18, 2014, one
month shy of his
88th birthday.

prostate cancer, but lived pain-free
with loving family and friends
around him until the day he died.
Morrie was born in 1926 and
grew up in Detroit. He died at
home in Cliffside Park, N.J., with
his daughter Lisa Lieb Malamed at
his side.
Morrie founded an apparel buy-
ing office in Manhattan, in opera-
tion still, and was dearly loved by
his associates and well regarded in
the industry. He had an astound-
ing number of devoted friends,
men and women from their 20s to
their 90s. Morrie's generous heart
touched so many lives, and his
memory will be revered.
Morrie is survived by his daugh-
ters, Beth Lieb, Lisa Lieb Malamed,
Ellen (Edward) Berman and Terry
Cohen; his grandchildren, Joshua
Hecht, Shahn (Charlotte) Trussell,
Nikole Lieb, David Berman, Sara
Berman, Jacob Malamed, Max
Malamed, Alexander Cohen and
Taylor Cohen; cousins, Marsha
(Martin) Murav, Marjorie (Saul)
Saulson; and their children and
grandchildren.
Morrie was predeceased by his
loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Lieb;
their son, Robert Lieb, who died
of leukemia in 2013; his sister,
Marjorie Liebschutz; and his cous-
ins, Morris (Roslyn) Fierberg, and
Donald (Irene) Corn. He was the
beloved son of the late Katherine
and the late Emanuel Liebschutz.

and the late Helen Linden.
