chah will be his brother Zachary and
proud grandparents Peggy and Dennis
Frank, and Elaine and Dr. Stephen
Sturman.
Ryan attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. Of his
many mitzvah experiences, Ryan found
creating a school uniform and winter
clothing drive for the Detroit Public
Schools, which involved soliciting
friends and family, collecting dona-
tions, purchasing items and personally
delivering them to the Munger School
in Detroit, to be the most meaningful.
Sydney Maxine
Gordon, daughter of
Vernon and Karen
Gordon, was called to
the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
Aug. 30 at B'nai
Israel Synagogue in
Gordon
West Bloomfield.
Sharing in the sim-
chah were her brother Adam and
grandma Donna R. Sklar. Sydney is
also the granddaughter of the late
Lawrence Sklar, the late Maurice and
the late Maxine Gordon.
Sydney is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Her most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect was volunteering at the Ronald
McDonald House in Detroit.

Bloomfield. He is the
son of proud parents,
Kaplansky
John and Amy
Kaplansky, and broth-
er of Haley, Beth and Adam. He is the
grandson of Molly Kaplansky, the late
Israel Kaplansky, Nona Kaplansky, the
late Haritoula and Peter Marinkovich.
Joshua attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake. He has had the
pleasure of being involved in various
community mitzvahs.

are also the grandchildren of the late
Richard Karson and great-grandchil-
dren of the late Elaine Lifton.
Jonah and Olivia are students at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills. They performed many mitzvah
projects but felt that donating funds to
the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to
the St. Jude's Children's Hospital were
the most meaningful.

Epstein. Ben is also the grandson of the
late Susan and the late Arthur Rocker,
the late Mark and the late Elaine Dones.
Benjamin attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. For his mitzvah project,
he volunteered with Peer Corps Detroit
to work at Clark Park in southwest
Detroit.

is the son of Renee
and Yair Nadiv and
brother of Danniell, Yonathan and
Amichai. Proud grandparents are Judith
Siegel, and Tziona and David Nadiv. He
is also the grandson of the late Donald
Siegel.
Paul is a student at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. For his mitzvah project, he has
been actively participating in the month-
ly program of Mitzvah and Munchies at
Farmington Hills-based JARC.
