Sarah Ashley
Schiffer, daughter of
Eric and Deborah
Schiffer, will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Sept. 6, at
Temple Israel in
Schiffer
West Bloomfield.
Joining in her sim-
chah will be her siblings Emily, Zoe
and Jillian. Her proud grandparents
are Daniel and Sheila Schiffer, Dolores
Westerman, and Michael and Pattie
Westerman. She is the great-grand-
child of Ronnie Schiffer and Helene
Westerman.
Sarah is a student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. Among
her many mitzvah experiences, Sarah
found volunteering for the Free Fresh
Food Pantry at Temple Israel to be the
most meaningful.

Eve Claire Wasvary,
daughter of Drs.
Rebecca and Harry
Wasvary, will cele-
brate her bat mitz-
vah as she reads
from the Torah on
Saturday, Sept. 6, at
Wasvary
Temple Israel in

Joining in her celebration will be sib-

parents are Valerie and the late
Samuel Indenbaum, and Sue and Ken

Eve attends Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham. As part of her
mitzvah experience, she worked to
gather donations for SAFE (Stuffed
Animals for Emergencies), which
collects new and gently used stuffed
animals, toys, books and blankets to
be redistributed to emergency organi-
zations, children's services, hospitals,
homeless shelters and other places
that help children during times of
crisis.
