Dentistry From the Heart helps 260 people. 0 n Saturday, Aug. 2, oral surgeons Vejayan Krishnan, William Ruskin, his son Aaron Ruskin and Sarah Kuo, the doctors of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Farmington Hills, provided a day of free dental care for the community. People began lining up at 6 a.m. While many patients came from within a 5-25 mile radius; others came from as far away as Grand Rapids and the Cincinnati area. The doctors saw 260 patients, provided 129 tooth extrac- tions, 59 fillings and 69 cleanings. The services performed would have priced out at more than $75,000. One patient was 29 years old and had never been seen by a dentist before. Ninety-five women gathered for a dinner presentation by two pancreatic cancer experts and a genetics special- ist.
