KOSHER MICHIGAN
He was an Army veteran of the
Korean conflict. After arriving home
from Korea, he went to work at a
Mary Jane's shoe store, where he met
his wife, Dolly. Throughout his life,
he worked in a number of careers,
including managing shoe stores,
selling modernization and owning a
restaurant for some 15 years, among
other endeavors. With a great sense
of humor, he was always cracking
jokes, some even a bit risque.
He loved his family, which was his
first priority, and always kept cur-
rent with world events.
Mr. Potashnik is survived by
daughters and a son-in-law, Sheryl
Potashnik and Stuart Lev of Elkins
Park, Pa., Rosanne Potashnik of
West Bloomfield; son, Allan Edward
Potashnik of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Andrea Lorfel, Stacy
Lorfel, Talia Lev, Hannah Lev; sister,
Sylvia Golds; niece, Debbie Golds.
He is also survived by his great-
granddog, Foley.
Mr. Potashnik was the beloved
husband for 62 years of the late
Dolly Potashnik; the cherished
brother and brother-in-law of the
late Bertha and the late David
Dubbs, the late Alex Potashnik, the
late Irene Potashnik and the late Sid
Golds.
Interment was at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery.

Michigan, died Aug.
12, 2014.

was a past commander of the local
Jewish War Veterans. An alumni of
Gamma Kappa Chi Fraternity, he
was an avid stamp collector, a coin
collector and an enthusiastic bridge
player. He was very proud of his
accomplishment of being a school
psychologist who specialized in
learning disabilities. A sports fan, he
also loved to travel.
Dr. Reich is survived by his wife of
60 years, Sally Reich; children, Keith
and Sandi Reich of Flossmor, Ill.,
Michael and Emily Reich of Beverly
Hills, Kenneth and Devorah Rich
of Oak Park, and Renee and Berton
May of Norton Shores, Mich.; grand-
children, Alexander Reich, Erica
Reich, Jaxon Reich, Justin Hayworth,
Chana Rochel and Elchonen Sosne,
Sarah May, Deborah May and Kayla
May.
He was the cherished brother and
brother-in-law of the late Frieda and
the late George Barahal; grandfather
of the late Rachel Reich.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
