I t was a picture-perfect day as more than 100 golfers teed off at Franklin Hills Country Club July 14 to benefit Kadima's Lois and Milton Y. Zussman Activity Center. Co-chairs Adam Rothstein and Ed Schonberg, along with a devoted committee, worked hard to make this year's outing a success. After golf, the men and women enjoyed cocktails and a silent auc- tion. The golfers were joined by more than 50 additional people for cock- tails, dinner, silent and live auctions and more. Led by auctioneer Richard Nucian, the live auction included a Miguel Cabrera-autographed jersey and baseball, a night on the town at the Townsend Hotel and three nights' stay at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami, among others. The Zussman Activity Center is a venue for Kadima's clients and provides activities such as Shabbat lunch, yoga, arts and crafts projects, music, dancing and much more. The center offers clients an opportunity for social, recreational and peer interactions. For family members and caregivers, the center is a much- needed safety net. In short, Zussman Center is central part of Kadima's services to adults with mental ill- ness. Kadima offers residential and outpatient care to people with chronic and persistent mental ill- ness. To access Kadima's services or to make a contribution, contact Eric Adelman, executive director at (248) 559-8235. ❑ FDIC Application Deadline SEPTEMBER 8TH CALLING ALL TEENS!
