Bloomfield, died July 31,
2014.
He is survived by his
wife of 74 years, Sylvia

of La Jolla, Calif., Linda Friedlaender of
West Bloomfield, Judy Pearlman of West
Bloomfield, Carol and Dr. Andrew Sofen
of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Donna
and Gaetano Mastropasqua, Keith and
Sari Boesky, Beth and Jason Kadlec, David
Friedlaender, Jill Eisenshtadt, Wendy
Eisenshtadt, Dr. Bryan Sofen and his fiancee,
Anna Kozlowoski, Dr. Lauren Sofen; great-
grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Kiara, Lorenzo
and Kevin; sister-in-law, Ann Carron;
caregivers, Rose and LaTeeka; many loving
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was the cherished brother of the
late Ruth and the late Harry Sosnick; the
devoted son of the late Jacob and the late
Dora Pearlman; the dear son-in-law of the
late Max and the late Dora Lesnick; the
loving brother-in-law of the late Dr. Carl
Carron, the late Dr. Sol Lesnick and the
late Julius Lesnick.
Interment was at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to Adat
Shalom Synagogue, Dr. Abe & Sylvia

IRA GERALD SAMUELS, 76, of West
Bloomfield, died July 31, 2014.
He is survived by his devoted companion
of 28 years, Maggie Glogower; daughter
and son-in-law, Carolyn and Mark Koblin
of Bloomfield Hills; son, Ronald Samuels of
Ann Arbor; sister, Natalie Carroll; brother-in-
law, Dennis Greenstein; many loving nieces,
nephews, other family members and friends.
Mr. Samuels was the brother of the late
Diane Greenstein; the brother-in-law of the
late Bill Carroll.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one's choice. Interment took place at the
Clover Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.

years of the late Mark Silver.

MORRIS HARRY STARKMAN, 91, of
Toronto, died July 11, 2014.
Mr. Starkman was the senior partner
of the Toronto accounting firm Starkman,
Kraft, Rothman, Berger and Grill. In his
retirement, he lived a full and active life,
engaging with family, friends, shul and
community.
He is survived by daughters and sons-
in-law, Janice and Dr. Iry Goldfein, Susan
Starkman and Dr. Richard Gilbert; son,
Eric Starkman; grandchildren, Ami and Jill
Goldfein, Sarah Goldfein, Ariella Goldfein
and Miles Gilbert; great-grandchildren,
Ilan, Nava and Asher Goldfein; sisters-in-
law and brothers-in law, Ceil and Jerry
Liebman, Jenny and Sid Beshkin, Shane
Lewin; brother, Emanuel Starkman; many
loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Starkman was the loving husband
of the late Ida Beshkin Starkman; brother
of the late Irving Starkman, Maxwell
Starkman, Rose Douglas, Cookie Simon and
Jeanette Kaplansky.

ZELMA SUSSMAN, 90,
of Farmington Hills, died
July 29, 2014.
She is survived by her
companion, Abraham
Eigel; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Stephen and
Kathryn Sussman, Gary

Platman; grandchildren, Rachel Sussman
and Hillary Sussman; brother and sister-in-
law, Benson and Jane Fine.

late Herman Sussman.
