hile the situation in
Israel continues to
generate headlines, the
Michigan Israel Business Bridge
remains focused on moving for-
ward and working with its Israeli
members and companies.
"The spirit of Israelis is their
ability to cope with serious exter-
nal threats while going on with
their daily lives. The business of
Israel still goes on as usual:' said
Lis Ventures CEO and Michigan
Israel Business Bridge President
Hannan Lis in a recent mailing to
Michigan Israel Business Bridge
members.
In early July, the Michigan Israel
Business Bridge welcomed eight
Israeli high-tech automotive sup-
pliers to Michigan. The delegation
met with OEMs and Tier 1 suppli-
ers showcasing products that will
most likely be in the cars that will
be driven off the lots within the
next few years. By recent count,
there are more than 100 Israeli
high-tech automotive companies.
Kevin T. Kerrigan, vice presi-
dent of the automotive office of the
Michigan Economic Development
Corp., and Yariv Becker, Israel's
consul for economic and commer-
