Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit. In addition, she won a
Leadership Award from the World
Jewish Congress. A founder of the
Detroit Chapter of ORT, she was
also a member of the Franklin
Hills Country Club and the
Standard Club of Chicago.
She was a Detroit Institute of
Arts docent, a Founders member,
a benefactor, an honorary member
and an Interpretative Programs
volunteer as well as an Archives of
American Art founding member.
In addition, she was a member
of the Hundred Club of Detroit,
whose membership has very few
women members; she was unique
to be one of them.
Mrs. Shaye is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Marc
Shaye and Christine Mosier of
Franklin; daughter, Jo-Anne Shaye
Dobrick of Chicago; daughter-in-
law, Lynne Shaye; grandchildren,
David Nathan Shaye and Natalie
Priel, Alexandra Julia Shaye, Tanya
and Jacob Silverstein, Jonathan
Shaye, and Rebecca and Ryan
Quinn; great-grandchildren, Ruby
Marlow Quinn, Zachary Silverstein
and Ben Silverstein; nieces, neph-
ews and a world of friends.
Mrs. Shaye was the beloved
wife of the late Nathan Shaye; the
devoted mother of the late Richard
D. Shaye; the loving sister of the
late Manuel Davis, the late Leon
Davis and the late Sadie Mossman;
the dear sister-in-law of the late
Sol C. Shaye, the late Max Shaye
and the late Pauline Rappoport;
cherished daughter of the late
William and the late Freda Davis.
Interment was at Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery.

DENISE SIDLOW, 71, of

Bloomfield Hills, died July 16,
2014.
She leaves her beloved husband,
Kenneth; and the rest of a large
and loving family. Services have
been held.
