frontlines Rare Wheels On Display ING Michael Higer JN Intern T he 36th annual Concours d'Elegance takes place at the Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth on Sunday, July 27. Two hundred-eighty modern and classic cars will be on dis- play for car enthusiasts as well as judges. The chairman of the event is Larry Moss, a resident of West Bloomfield and member of Temple Israel. "We seem- ingly have been under the radar for a long time," Moss said. "Nationally, we're known as one of the top shows in the country. We have collectors and judges come from Larry Moss California, Arizona, Colorado, etc., and quite a few from Canada:' The show will feature a number of rare and unique cars including the 1952 Muntz Jet, one of only 25 remaining in the world with a value of $250,000, owned by WADL-TV owner Kevin Adell. Other cars include a 1960 Ferrari 250GT The 1952 Muntz Jet to be featured at the 36th annual Concours d'Elegance Cabriolet, 1938 Talbot-Lago T-150C, 1954 Maserati A6G 2000, 1937 BMW 328 Mille Miglia and 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 — all owned by New Jersey busi- nessman Oscar Davis with a combined value of more than $20 million. Besides the car show on Sunday, there will be other events held throughout the weekend including the RM Classic Car Auction and the "High Heels and Wheels" Gala, each held on Saturday at the same venue. Proceeds from the week- end go toward a number of organizations and charities including the Foundation for Kids and Leader Dogs for the Blind. General admission tickets for the Concours d'Elegance are $25.
