Magen David Adom
Seeks Assistance
Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's
national emergency medical response
organization, is seeking donations as it
continues saving lives amid increasing
rocket attacks from Gaza.
MDA, which does not receive Israeli
government funding for its operations, has
activated its entire 13,000 volunteer corps
and manned all of its 1,000 ambulances
in response to sustained rocket fire from
Gaza. The latest operations have strained
MD/Vs resources, which also must be dedi-
cated to standard, day-to-day emergencies
throughout Israel.
To donate, visit American Friends of
MDA at www.afmda.org/make-a-donation
or call 866-388-7527.

JNF Assists Israel
in Time of Crisis
Since Operation Protective Edge began last
week, the Jewish National Fund mobilized
to assist the people of Israel. JNF efforts
have included:
• Keeping JNF's Sderot indoor recreation

center open 24 hours to give the children a
safe place to play.
• Arranging for activities and provisions
for people in bomb shelters, along with
food and essentials.
• Supplying the new community of
Halutza with 24 mobile bomb shelters.
• Taking people with special needs to
Israel's northern areas and away from dan-
ger zones.

often stating that all competi-

a bet out of the guarantee and promise a
reward or special discount if lower pric-

That being said, not many low-price
guarantees are quite like those adver-
