udi and Barry Freund of Waterford
celebrated their 50th wedding anni-
versary on June 21. They marked the
occasion with a river cruise to Europe. They
will also celebrate later this summer with
their children, Amy and Kevin Goldman
and Brian Freund, and grandchildren, Max
and Zack Goldman.

Lubieniecki 95th

A

ndrzej Lubieniecki, a resident
of Windsor, Ontario, celebrated
his 95th birthday June 26. A
Holocaust survivor, Lubieniecki became an
actor with the Polish Yiddish Theater, where
he worked with Ida Kaminska. He continued
his career in Jewish theater after immigrat-
ing to Israel and Montreal, and worked
with Joseph Bulow, Mike Burstyn, Maurice
Schwartz and Dora Wasserman. He moved
to Windsor with his late wife, Miriam, of 63
years, in 2000 and frequently visits his fam-
ily — the Aisners, Bragmans and Chayts —
in Metro Detroit. He has three children, six
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
