SHERLINE, 86, of
Southfield, died June
19, 2014.
He is survived by
his beloved wife,

Bloomfield; grandchildren, David

nieces, nephews, other family mem-

Mr. Sherline was the brother of the
late Harold Sherline.

ALBERT SMITH, 87, of Tamarac, Fla.,
died on June 14, 2014.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and
after his service in the Navy during
World War II, he returned to the fam-
ily bakery business with his father,
Bernard (Ruth) Smith and later with
his brother-in-law, Max Smith. He fin-
ished his career in Washington, D.C.,
before retiring to Florida with his wife,
Betty.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife
of 65 years, Betty; son, Joel (Jackie)
Smith; daughters, Susan (Carl)
DeNicolis, Ronni (the late Steven)
Welsch; grandchildren, Jennifer
(Jimmy) Rhein, Jacob Smith, Eric and
Michelle DeNicolis, Howard Welsch,
Jeffrey (Mandy) Welsch; sisters-in-law,
Elaine Smith and Laurrie Hofberg;
many loving nieces and nephews and
their families.

He was a podiatrist practicing in
Livonia.
Dr. Solomon is survived by his wife

child, Aubre; many other loving fam-
ily members and friends.
Mrs. Stein was the beloved wife of
the late Alvin I. Stein; the sister of the
late Gerald (the late Ginger) Fisch.

took place at Oakview Cemetery in
Royal Oak. Arrangements by Dorfman

ABRAHAM ALVIN SULKES, 76,
died June 12, 2014, in Tallahassee, Fla.
He was born Dec. 20, 1937, to
Joseph A. and Sophie Tribuck Sulkes
in Detroit. An alumnus of the
University of Michigan, class of 1959,
Al was a proud Wolverine. Go Blue!
He served many years on the board
of trustees of Temple B'nai Israel in
Clearwater and was 1977-1979 con-
gregational president. In Tallahassee,
he was on the board of trustees of
Temple Israel and president of the
Jewish Federation.
Mr. Sulkes is survived by his
beloved sons, Neil (Cathy) Sulkes and
Scott (Marc) Sulkes; their mother;
grandson, Leo Maxwell Sulkes
Ginsberg; brother, Sanford (Shirley)
Sulkes; wife, Loyce Farr Sulkes, the
great love of his golden years.
A memorial service will be at
Temple Israel, July 1 at 2:30 p.m.
