JARC's SpringElation brings sunshine for annual fundraiser

ARC, an organization serving people with disabilities,
hosted its 16th annual SpringElation fundraiser, an
all-inclusive family fun night, May 28 at the Detroit
Zoo. It may have rained all day, but by the time of the event,

Bloomfield. More
than 60 area businesses and 400 families came together to
sponsor and support SpringElation.
The fundraising event raised more than $250,000 for JARC.
SpringElation is the major source of private funding for JARC's
services for children and their families.

he stories of the Bible came alive this
Shavuot at Congregation Beth Ahm of West
Bloomfield. During the "Ultimate Shavuot
Cake Decorating Contest:' families of all ages used
their creativity and culinary skills to decorate a
biblical-themed cake. Given 20 minutes and decorat-
ing supplies, the Beth Ahm families created amazing
scenes of Mount Sinai, Jacob's Ladder, Noah's Ark and
the Crossing of the Sea. The sweetness of Torah —
and the cake — was enjoyed by all.
