May 14, 2014, in
Delray Beach.
She was a life mem-
ber
of Hadassah

She leaves her
children: son and daughter-in-law, David
and Irma of West Bloomfield; daughter,
Barbara Adler Butan of Boca Raton,
Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and
Charlene of Cary, N.C.; eight grandchil-
dren, Meredith Adler Pettersch and hus-
band, Mike, Emily Adler, Mariel Butan,
Ben, Jacob, and Sam Adler, Zhanna
and husband, Stanislav Leynzon, Ella
and husband, Zach Wish; great-grand-
children, Robert and Sophia Pettersch,
Michelle and Brandon Leynzon, and
Mason Wish.
Interment was at Machpelah
Cemetery in Ferndale. Contributions
may be sent to the American Heart
Association or to the Alzheimer's
Foundation of America.

ALFRED E. BELFER, 102, of
Farmington Hills, died June 10, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Eleanor
and Morris Garfinkel, Myra Sonshine,
Richard and Susan Banks; sister, Rose
Friedenberg; several grandchildren,
including Jodi and Robert Weinfeld of
Farmington Hills; several great-grand-
children, including David, Sara, and
Ilana Weinfeld; many nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
Mr. Belfer was the husband of the late
Beatrice Banks; brother of the late Frieda
Nieman and the late Shirley Leonard.
Interment was held at the Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
SAMUEL A. BORAK, 102, of West
Bloomfield, died June 10, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Arnie
and Cathy Rubin, Mark and Dorothy
Rubin, Mark Rubin and Nora Lynch,
Marlene and Garry Zitlin; daughter-in-
law, Edyth Rubin; nieces and nephew,
Arlene and Eric Oppenheim, Nadine
Tack; many loving grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Borak was the beloved husband
of the late Rebecca Rubin Borak; dear
father of the late Berry Rubin.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Services and
interment were held at Workmen's
Circle Cemetery - Zamosc
Tomashovar Section. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.
