Eric attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake. As one of his
mitzvah projects, he worked at Gleaners
Community Food Bank, collecting and
distributing food to the less fortunate.

Isabelle Rose Havis

became a bat mitvah
Saturday, June 7, in a
unique ceremony pre-
pared by "Izzy" and
her Jewish studies
teacher from The Shill.
The service took place

at the Lafayette Grande
and was immediately
followed by a party. Attending the cere-
mony and celebration were grandparents
Florence and Samuel Havis, and Esther
and Harry Shapiro; parents, Carol and
Alan Havis; sister Lilly; and numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Isabelle attends Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham. Of her many
mitzvah projects and contributions, she
enjoyed the time and effort directed
toward the Meow Mitzvah Mission of
Israel, which addresses Israel's stray-
and feral-cat epidemic.

Farmington Hills. Her mitzvah project
was volunteering with Peer Corps, visit-
ing and doing arts and crafts with resi-
dents of a rehabilitation facility.

Drewe attends Derby Middle School
in Birmingham. As part of her mitzvah
experience, she held a garage sale to
raise funds to donate food and goods
for Give To The Troops and provide
blankets and stuffed animals to Project
Night Night.

Ari is a seventh-grader at East Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Among her mitzvah projects, she volun-
teered in the temple's school office and
made rubber band bracelets for pediatric
patients at Beaumont Hospital.
