Giving her obstetrician permis- sion to tell Must the gender of her baby, Jacobs and her husband, Mike, had a beautifully handpainted pink cast ready and waiting when their daughter, Ava, arrived. "We brought it in to the studio when she was eight days old:' Jacobs says. "It just felt perfect. The photos are precious." "Losing Miya has made me appre- ciate even more how crucial it is to have photographs:' Must says. "And pregnancy is such a beautiful time of life. Even if you're huge and have morning sickness, it's a miracle. I'm so glad to be able to do this for people. And I love getting my hands on those babies." ❑ Naturally Photography by Monni, Sylvan Lake (248-977-5140; naturallymonni. com).
