Molly Chernow, Marty Maddin
and Jason Klein will receive
Federation's 2014 Young
Leadership Awards.
Recipient of the 2014 Sylvia
Simon Greenberg Award,
Chernow currently serves on the
boards of Jewish Senior Life and
the Holocaust Memorial Center.
A past chair of the Detroit
Women's Young Leadership
Cabinet, she has served as co-
chair of Federation's Grosfeld
10 Leadership Program and
NEXTGen's Heritage event.
As a past board member of
Women's Philanthropy and
Jewish Federation Board of
Governors, she has also served
on many Federation com-
mittees including the Israeli
Camper Program, Pathways to
Community Leadership and
Israel@60.
She is the founder and origi-
nal co-chair of Mispochai and
the past chair of the Program
for Holocaust Survivors and
Families.
Recipient of the 2014 Frank
A. Wetsman Award, Jason
Klein serves as a member of
the boards of Federation and
Hillel Day School. He is the
chair of Federation's Marketing
Committee and chair of the
Detroit Men's Young Leadership
Cabinet.
He was the co-chair of the
Grosfeld 10 Leadership Program
and co-chair of the NEXTGen
Heritage event. Klein is also a
board member of the State of
Israel Bonds of Metropolitan
Detroit and chair of its market-
ing committee.
The 2014 recipient of the Mark-
Lis Family Young Leadership
Award, Marty Maddin serves
on the board of governors of
Federation and the board of
directors of NEXTGen Detroit.
He is the chair of the
NEXTGen Nominating
Committee and a former presi-
dent of NEXTGen Detroit. He
is a past co-chair of the Becker
All-Star Mission and past chair
of the YAD Strategic Plan.
