96, of Boynton
Beach, Fla.,
formerly of
Oak Park and
Southfield, died
May 5, 2014.
Wasserman
Born and
raised in Detroit,
Morry founded
and was the longtime president of
the Home Office Supply Company
before retiring to Florida. He
served in the U.S. Army in the
Pacific during World War II as a
war correspondent for the Stars

Mr. Wasserman was an avid
golfer and taught many of his fam-
ily and friends how to excel at golf.
He also enjoyed his cruises of the
Caribbean with his wife Richie; he
also taught golf aboard ship and
he continued to golf literally to the
end of his life. He was especially
proud of his only hole-in-one.
Because of his wit and outstand-
ing personality, he was well liked
by everyone who met him. He
used his writing skills to write long
poems for every family occasion,
even after he retired to Florida.
Mr. Wasserman is survived by
his daughter and son-in-law, Patti
and Danny MacFarlane; daughter,
Cheryl Kernan; loving grand-
daughter, Abbi MacFarlane; many
nieces and nephews.
He was married for 63 years to
the late Sylvia "Richie" Richman;
he was the brother of the late
Irving "Babe" Wasserman, the late
Jack Wasserman, the late Gertrude
"Trudy" Gartner and the late
Minnie Wasserman; he was the
son of the late Lena and the late
Abraham Wasserman.
