Helping Homeowners

"We still do a lot of residential work," Isenberg
says, "especially providing anti-virus software.
The product we use finds more viruses,
malware and spyware than the big name
software at less than $60 a year."
ENC not only monitors software
installations, but also, with the client's
permission, installs remote access software
that allows their technicians to connect
remotely to those computers to perform
updates and handle any other problems.
"One of our clients opened an email from
someone they thought they knew and clicked
on a link in the email. His computer was
immediately infected with the Cryptolocker
virus," he says.
This is a "ransom-ware" virus that says if
you pay so much money, they will unlock your
account. "But you can't use your computer
even if you pay — which you should never
do. It's enough to make you screaming mad,"
Isenberg says.
ENC was able to remove the virus and
recover the client's data from backup,
including multiple files that were corrupted.
"We can only recover data from backup if
there is one," Isenberg says. "Everyone should
have antivirus software, a firewall and backup
software."
ENC can provide all options, as well as
home networking services.

"We provide the right wireless equipment,
such as a router, a secure passcode to access
that router and the wiring to do the proper
connections," he says.
The company also offers educational
services on Microsoft Office, Internet
browsers, Adobe Acrobat, Open Office
and Windows operating systems, as well
as teaches customers how to back up their
computers, secure wireless routers and use
their mobile devices. It also assists with social
media needs, including setting up a Facebook
account.

who can do this work and act as the subject
matter expert witness at trial."
The company plans to continue to support
the community as well, sponsoring the Kenny
Goldman basketball league at the JCC and the
Women's Orthodox League directory.
"Mostly, we want to continue to serve
our customers," Isenberg says. "Building
relationships with our customers is what we
do best."

A Look Ahead

Isenberg and his partner created their
business plan in 2010, but didn't anticipate
how quickly their company would grow.
"We are four years in, but our progress
is where we expected to be at year 10,"
Isenberg says. "We are on track to double our
revenue from last year, and we can boast a 90
percent client retention rate."
Next up for ENC is a digital forensics
department, which will allow the company
to partner with attorneys to do electronic
discovery for civil cases.
"This means finding hidden and missing
digital information, perhaps what someone
has tried to delete from their computers, for
family law and bankruptcy cases," Isenberg
says. "We have a certified computer examiner

Home Computer Tip

Isenberg recommends that all home
networks have a secure passcode that
is not easily recognized.
"We recommend our clients use a
three-phrase word. For example, the
street you lived on when you were 10,
your dorm number when you were
a college freshmen and your favorite
city for vacation," he says. "These
passwords are designed to be long. Be
sure to use both upper- and lower-case
letters to make it more secure. Also,
never use your phone number, date of
birth or Social Security number."
