Village, Calif., died April 26, 2014.
She is survived by her daugh-

Thousand Oaks, Calif.; son, Dr. Ira
Gantz; grandchildren, Seth and
Shoshana Salpeter, Rachel and Isaac

Salpeter, Naomi and Gary Labin,
Eitan Yodkovik; great-grandchildren,
Maayan Salpeter, Ariel Salpeter,

Mrs. Gantz was the beloved wife of
the late George Gantz.

ERIC KOMMEL, 62,
of Troy, died April
25, 2014.
He was a lifetime
member of Great
Lakes Yacht Club.
An avid sailor, he
participated in 32

Bayview Port Huron/
Mackinac races and served 15 years on
the finish line as a race official.
Mr. Kommel is survived by his wife
of 38 years, Patti Kommel; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Blair and Keith
Krueger of Sterling Heights; grandson,
Kyle Krueger; sisters and brother-in-
law, Debra and William Wichterman
and Jody Kommel; mother, Eve
Kommel; many loving nieces, neph-
ews, cousins and friends.
He was the devoted son of the late
Dr. Richard Kommel.
