LAUGH LINES

"Roastmaster General" Jeffrey Ross,
feared and revered for his appearances at
Comedy Central's celebrity roasts, takes
the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at
Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren.
Mature audiences. $29-$69. (586) 268-

It's been claimed that cartoon character
Bugs Bunny exhibits tell-tale Jewish
traits: He lives in a Jewish neighborhood,
has a distinctly New York/Jewish accent
and uses witty repartee to side-step
all attempts to eliminate him. Cartoon
producer Leon Schlesinger and Mel
Blanc, the actor who voiced the rabbit,
both were Jewish as well. Revisit Bugs
and other favorite Looney Tunes charac-
ters in a Detroit Symphony Orchestra
Pops concert titled Bugs Bunny at the
Symphony II, in which classic cartoons
will be projected on the big screen with
their original scores played live by the
DSO, at 10:45 a.m. and 8 p.m. Friday,
April 11, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at
Orchestra Hall. Tickets start at $19. (313)
