Nominate A Teen To Be
A StandWithUs Intern
StandWithUs is accepting nominations
for the 2014-15 StandWithUs MZ Teens
Internship, a yearlong program for high
school juniors and seniors. Its goal is
to prepare students who are passionate
about Israel to be leaders in their com-
munities and on their future college
campuses.
MZ Teen Interns are trained in
advanced Israel advocacy techniques,
leadership skills, and program planning
and implementation skills. They also have
direct priority access to StandWithUs
funding, materials and speakers to sup-
port programming in their schools or
communities.
To recommend a student, visit www.
standwithus.com/MZTeens . There are
a limited number of spaces for highly
qualified students who will make a real
difference in their schools or communi-
ties. Students must go through all steps of
the application process and be selected to
become an MZ Teen Intern.
For information, contact Barbara
Moretsky at standwithusmichigan@gmail.
com or (248) 325-5306.

article was: "Brotherhood
or Chaos! The National
Conference of Christians and Jews held
from Feb. 20-26, 1944." The NCCJ was
founded in 1927 in response to the
growth of anti-Catholic sentiments
during that era. It expanded its work
to include all issues of social justice —
including anti-Semitism — in 1934.
Ten years later, a team of "goodwill
speakers" assembled by the NCCJ held
meetings in Metropolitan Detroit, and
the Jewish News was there to cover
several of the events.
The speakers were sponsored by
the Detroit Round Table of Catholic,
Jews and Protestants. One venue for
their lectures was in Ann Arbor. For
this meeting, the Detroit Round Table
prepared a slide lecture titled: "Getting
Acquainted with Jewish Neighbors."
Rev. Joseph Q. Mayne, executive sec-
retary of the Detroit Round Table, was
also a guest speaker at the School and
