MONROE "BOB" MOLNER, died peacefully on March 21, 2014, at age 95. He was born in Peoria, Ill. He served in the United States Maritime Service Molner during World War II and later graduated from Wayne State University. He ran a successful advertising agency for more than 40 years until retirement. He will always be remembered as a Renaissance Man whose broad and comprehensive knowledge of both art and science clearly resonated to all who knew him. In recent years, Mr. Molner was very active at the Trowbridge, where he led a debate group, poetry group, annotated book club and a drama group. His intelligence and curiosity about the world around him clearly defined his relationships, and he had the unique gift of truly connecting with people of varying ages and diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. His physi- cal presence will be greatly missed, but his inimitable spirit and soul will continue. Mr. Molner is survived by his daughter, Dr. Irene Schatz (Dr. Arthur Schatz) of Miami, Fla.; son, William Molner of East Lansing; five trea- sured grandchildren, Jennifer Molner Schatz, Adam Molner, David Molner, Laura Schatz Lapin (Jeff), and Erin Schatz Goldstein (Marlon); sister-in- law and brother-in-law, Ruth Levin Madoff and Dr. Milton Madoff of Los Angeles; four great-grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Samuel Molner; sister, Rita Hoffman; and by his wife of 66 years, Mildred Levin Molner. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Interment took place at the Beth Tefilo Emanuel Cemetery in Ferndale. Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel. They were wonderful: We hear kind words consistently. We're proud that people feel comfortable enough with us to openly tell us how much they appreciate what we did for them. In fact, it's this appreciation that drives us to offer the very best in comfort, compassion and service.
