Bridal magazines this year are recommending clean, muted cheeks and clear glossy lips, or precision-lined eyes with black liquid eyeliner and pale lipstick. A hint of color on the eyes or lips can add drama, but go for one or the other and not both to keep a soft, innocent look. Mona Rickart of Farmington Hills, who runs her cosmetics consultancy out of Salon Edge on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield, has been helping brides prepare for their close-ups since the 1980s.
