Kadima Grant Focuses On Young Adult Patients Kadima received a grant from the Jewish Fund to provide specialized services to young adults, ages 18-35, diagnosed with co-occurring mental illness and sub- stance abuse. With this funding, Kadima has devel- oped specialized services for young adults that include individual and group treatment, family sessions and psycho- educational groups to help young adults and their family members understand and accept the diagnosis of mental ill- ness. Included are a multitude of activi- ties such as music, art, nutrition, exercise, yoga, hygiene, smoking cessation and socialization. Kadima is a full-service, nonprofit agency providing programs and ser- vices to adult clients diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar or schizoaffec- tive disorders or chronic depression and to children, ages 3-18 years, diagnosed with serious emotional and behavioral disorders.
