Make, Take And Give

Aish holds Great Purim Parcel Project to
make mishloach manot to be delivered.

T

he Great Purim Parcel Project at Aish Detroit on Sunday,
March 9, drew families together to make yummy
hamantashen and mishloach manot packages and to have
their pictures taken in costume by Brett Mountain Photography.
All who attended made Purim packages that will be delivered for
the holiday to 100 Yad Ezra families. Additionally, each child left
with their own parcel to deliver to their friends on Purim.
Make it, take it and give it — a beautiful Jewish tradition that
Aish hopes all of its children will continue each year on Purim. ❑

Bopping The Afternoon Away

Temple Beth El's Early Childhood Center held its first

Kids Bop Dance for young families.

T

he Temple Beth El Early Childhood
Center (ECC) hosted its first annual
Kids Bop Dance in early February. Two
hundred adults and children escaped the snow
and warmed up on the dance floor during the
event organized by the ECC's PTO. DJs from Joe
Cornell Entertainment, who donated their time
for the fundraiser, had families out of their seats
learning the latest steps, doing line dances and
receiving giveaways.
When they took a break from the dancing,
attendees enjoyed a photo booth complete with

silly costumes and desserts presented by Cutting
Edge Cuisine. All proceeds from the fundraiser
will be allocated to PTO projects in the ECC.
"The dance provided a wonderful opportunity
to have a great time while supporting our pre-
school," said Morgan Goodman, PTO president.
"The event brought a sense of community to our
younger Temple families."
