He will explore and assess popular fantasies about and scholarly insights into the pathology and the ordinariness of Hitler's mass murderers, showing that the Holocaust can be explained only if we render account to the full diversity of the people who committed it. Kuhne is Strassler Family Chair in the Study of Holocaust History at the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and professor of history at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. The event is presented by Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Guy Stern Endowment in Exile and Holocaust Studies.
