orris "Morrie" Wolok, 91,
of West Bloomfield, died
Feb. 23, 2014.
Mr. Wolok was a well-respected
real estate developer and gen-
eral contractor
who served
the Jewish
commu-
nity and the
Metropolitan
Detroit area
with great dig-
nity for more
than 60 years. Morris Wolok
He developed
c. 1982
subdivisions
and built
quality homes in Detroit, Oak Park,
Southfield, Farmington Hills, West
Bloomfield, Franklin, Bloomfield
Hills and South Lyon.
A Freemason for 57 years, Mr.
Wolok had a distinguished career
that was built on a foundation of
unparalleled knowledge and eth-
ics. He was a man of great intellect,
whose reputation was one of honesty,
integrity and virtue.
His family was his greatest pride and
joy. He was married to the love of his
life, Rose (Lieberman) Wolok, for 65
years. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather, brother, brother-in-law,
uncle and cousin who was greatly loved
and will be missed by all.
Mr. Wolok is survived by his
beloved wife, Rose Wolok; sons and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Howard Wolok
of Sterling Heights, Dr. Kenneth
and Rene Wolok of Waterford;
daughter and son-in-law, Carol and
Alan Lederman of West Bloomfield;
brother, Jerome "Jerry" (Marsha)
Wolok of Bradenton, Fla.; sisters-in-
law, Harriet Wolok of Farmington
Hills, Eleanor Dorfman of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Dr. Ryan
Wolok, Jaclyn Wolok (fiance Kevin
Weiss), Landon Wolok, Brad Dizik,
Jordan Dizik. He is also remembered
by many loving nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
Mr. Wolok was the son of the
late Sam and the late Tillie Wolok.
He also was predeceased by his
brother, Bob Wolok; sisters-in law and
brothers-in-law, Helen Wolok, Joseph
Dorfman, Lillian (Samuel) Hechtman,
Irving (Tillie) Lieberman, Alex
(Sally) Lieberman, Nathan (Betty)
Lieberman; Sydney (Ann) Lieberman.
Donations may be made to the
American Cancer Society or a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment was
at Adat Shalom Memorial Park.
