Our adult Purim celebration at Temple Israel is a night not to be missed! The evening will be
filled with our adult Purim Spiel, Megillah reading, eating, drinking, schmoozing and so much
more!

Wine & cheese, music and Purim games begin at 7:30 PM. Purim Spiel begins at 9 PM followed
by dancing and hamentashen. No charge. Open to the community. Casual dress or come in
costume! YFTI will be selling Purim Carnival raffle tickets during the evening. Help support our

We will welcome back Professor Deborah Dash Moore and Professor Zvi Gitelman
for a 4-part adult education lecture series.

Deborah Dash Moore is a Frederick C.L. Huetwall Professor of History at the University of Michigan, Director of the
Jean and Samuel Frankel Center for Judaic Studies, and an award winning author, including a Washington Post Best
Book of the Year Cl Jews: How World War II Changed a Generation. Professor Moore was awarded Jewish Book of the
Year at the 2012 National Jewish Book Awards for City of Promises: A History of the Jews of New York.

Professor Zvi Gitelman is a prize-winning professor and author or editor of sixteen books. His most recent, Jewish
Identities in Postcommunist Russia and Ukraine was published in 2012. He is a Professor of Political Science and
Preston Tisch Professor of Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan. Gitelman is a leading authority on Russian
Jewry, modem Jewish communities, and politics in Israel and Eastern Europe.
