Returns To Work In Israel
Hadassah, the Women's Zionist
Organization of America (HWZOA),
praised the progress at Hadassah
Medical Organization (HMO) follow-
ing successful union negotiations and
labor court decisions that resulted
in doctors, nurses and non-medical
staff returning to work last week.
The hospital is now fully opera-
tional and back to serving the Israeli
community. The unions have com-
mitted to coming to an agreement
with the administration by April 13,
the day before Passover begins.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the HMO filed
for Section 350, which is analogous
to the U.S. Chapter 11. The leader-
ship of HMO is working with court-
appointed trustees to develop and
begin implementation of a recovery
plan. HMO management continues
its negotiations with the govern-
ment of Israel and the unions as
part of the Section 350 process.
HWZOA has launched a dedi-

continue to provide regular updates
throughout the recovery process.
