A

customer to his sons and grandson.
"We want the customer to feel and
know that we care," Ron says.
The motto, "relationships built on
trust:' extends to employees as well.
Kroll employees attend production
seminars, remodeling shows and exhi-
bitions that provide them with a com-
petitive edge. The company employs
15-18 people, some who have been
at the company for 20 years or more.
The company arranges employee out-
ings to sports events, dinners and
local gatherings.
"Not only do we love what we do:'
says Ron, "we do it six days a week.
We've been able to make our office a
family, like ourselves. We care about
them. We've been able to keep our
employees working here in some of
the toughest times."

A Legacy Of Giving Back
A family atmosphere permeates the
business, and the Krolls seem to enjoy
one another's company and have a lot
of fun together, but they are dead seri-
ous when it comes to business.
The company specializes in home
repair, renovation and improvement
services and is considered one of
the top-rated roofers in the Detroit
area. The company is also popular for
kitchen and bathroom remodeling and
window, siding and replacement work.
All estimates are free.
"We're looking to provide services
and our best advice Josh says, "which
may not always result in a sale. We do
what's right for our customers."
The company's customer base con-
tinues to grow. Kroll Construction
provides 40 percent of home improve-
ment work in Oakland County and is
expanding into Macomb County.
The family is also heavily invested
in the Jewish community. Ron used
to sit on the board for BBYO, and the
family helped build the BBYO facility
in Metro Detroit; Todd Kroll is on the
executive board of the Anti-Defamation
League and sat on the Khadija board in
the past, while Josh Kroll works with
JARC. Ron and Josh are affiliated with
Temple Israel, and Todd with Temple
Shir Shalom. Both shuls are in West
Bloomfield.
The company has also worked on
Kadima homes and the Kitker home
near Camp Tamarack. Two grandchil-
dren are enrolled at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills.
The Kroll family — all three genera-
tions — is proud of the company that
Al Kroll started more than 50 years.
"We aim to help people and grow the
business for another 50 years" says
Ron.
Al says if he had to do it all again,
he wouldn't change a thing. "I feel very
blessed:' he says.
