HAROLD LAWRENCE LAMPEAR,
88, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of
Farmington, died Jan. 16, 2014.
A 1943 graduate of Central High
School in Detroit, he enlisted in the
Army in 1944 and served in the 423rd
Combat Engineering Battalion. After
returning to Detroit from World War
II, he married Madeline Ann Spizizen
on Feb. 16, 1946. In 1952-53, he served
in Korea.
Mr. Lampear started in the paint-
ing business and transitioned into the
construction business, building single
family home and apartment develop-
ments. He was active in the Boy Scouts
as troop scout master and served on
the district board. He enjoyed travel,
camping, hunting and fishing with his
children. He was also active in Detroit
B'nai B'rith and Jewish War Veterans
in Scottsdale as post commander.
Mr. Lampear is survived by his chil-
dren, Alan (Anita) Lampear, Janice
Lampear, Michael Lampear and Keith
Lampear; brother and sister-in-law,
Benjamin Daniel and Judy Lampear;
sister-in-law, Sharon Lampear; brother-
in-law, Neil Spizizen (Anne Marie);
grandchildren, Sara Lampear and Ari
Lampear, Jeffrey (Samantha) Lampear,
Dana (Philip) Grosman, Amy (Joshua)
Vanderslice, and Jonathon (Kayla)
Lampear; great-grandchildren, Sophie
and Matthew Grosman, Elizabeth
Lampear and Carter Vanderslice; many
other loving family and friends.
Mr. Lampear was the son of the late
Louis and the late Anna Lampear; the
husband of the late Madeline Spizizen
Lampear and the late Janet Leebove;
the brother of the late Bernard
Lampear; the father of the late Craig
Lampear.

Hospice of the Valley, Donation Dept.,
1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
Interment was held at Green Acres
Cemetery in Scottsdale. Arrangements
by Sinai Mortuary in Phoenix, Ariz.
