The Shul To Host
Helen Thomas Film
Filmmaker David Nesenoff, whose
video led to the resignation of Helen
Thomas, once the dean of the White
House press corps, will bring his world
tour to West Bloomfield next month.
The Shul, Chabad-Lubavitch, will
host Nesenoff on Feb. 7-8. The Friday
night dinner is generously sponsored
by Dick and Harriet Cooper.
Nesenoff captured
on video the anti-
Semitic statements
of White House
correspondent
Helen Thomas, who
said Jews should
"get the hell out of
David
Palestine" and "go
Nesenoff
home to Poland and
Germany, America
and everywhere else:' The video rico-

cheted throughout the political world
and ultimately resulted in Thomas'
retirement.
In addition to Nesenoff's behind-
the-scene details of his White House
episode, his powerful and humorous
presentation on Friday will include
faith, Israel, anti-Semitism and his
own personal journey.
His first presentation will be at a
Friday night buffet dinner at 6:15
p.m. Feb. 7 at The Shul, with catering
by EPIC Kosher Catering. The cost is
$22/adult and $5/child. The price will
increase $5 per person after Jan. 28.
He will speak again at 8 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 8, during a Jerusalem
Bistro at the Jewish Community Center
in West Bloomfield. The Shul-sponsored
evening will feature songs, humor, sto-
ries and an open buffet. The cost is $20.
To RSVP, visit www.theshul.net/
reservations or call (248) 788-4000.
