Kate is a seventh-grade student at
the Girls' Middle School at Cranbrook
Schools in Bloomfield Hills. For her
mitzvah project, she designed winter
hats that were purchased by friends
and family; for every hat purchased,
a hat was donated to a local homeless
shelter.

Saturday, Jan. 11. She
will be joined by her

Utley is a seventh-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
in Farmington Hills. She has enjoyed
volunteering at Yad Ezra in Berkley as
part of her mitzvah project, and she
plans to stay involved with Yad Ezra in
the future.

Jacob is a student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. Helping
at Gleaner's Food Bank for gemilut
chasidim (acts of loving kindness)
was the mitzvah experience he felt to
be the most meaningful among his
projects.
