Moss of West
Bloomfield has been
appointed chairman

that Robert Siporin
Siporin
of Huntington Woods
was chosen to travel to the border of
Thailand and Burma as part of its
Global Justice Fellowship. Siporin, one
of 18 rabbinical and graduate student
fellows, is a student in the University of
Michigan School of Social Work's Jewish
Communal Leadership Program.

Veteran journalist and
author Berl Falbaum
of West Bloomfield
has published a short
story, The Docent, in
this month's issue of
the Internet magazine,
the Jewish Magazine.
Falbaum
The story deals with
an 88-year-old embittered Holocaust
survivor who reluctantly agrees to
become a docent at a Holocaust
museum. He has published seven
books, had one play produced by a
community theater and has taught
journalism part-time at Wayne State
University in Detroit since 1968. His
articles on politics and the media
appear frequently on the op-ed pages of
Michigan's newspapers, including the
Detroit Jewish News. The magazine with
Falbaum's article can be found at www.
