He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grand- father. He served in the U.S. Army as an instructor in the information and education department from 1952-1954 while stationed in Germany. He retired from the Detroit Public School sys- tem after teaching history, speech and drama for 43 years. A member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Associated Locksmiths of America, he was also active as a member of the Meer Choir and a member of B'nai B'rith and City of Hope.
