MANUEL ROTT, 91,
of Oak Park, died Dec.
4, 2013.
He served in France
and Germany as a
sergeant in the Army
during World War II.
He received a Purple
Rott
Heart, Bronze Star
and the Medal of Honor of France.
He was also a member of the Jewish
Community Center of Oak Park.
Mr. Rott is survived by his wife of 67
years, Eva Rott; son and daughter-in-
law, Neal and Susan Rott of Southfield;
daughter, Nancy Rott of Oak Park;
daughter-in-law, Christi Rott; grandchil-
dren, Barry Rott, Leslie Rott, Molly Rott;
loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mr. Rott was the loving father of the
late Arthur Owen Rott; dear brother of
five late siblings.
Contributions may be made to Jewish
Community Center of Oak Park, 15110 W.
10 Mile, Oak Park, MI 48237. Interment
was at Beth Shmuel, Workmen's Circle
in Clinton Township. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

SALLEN, 93, of
Southfield, died Dec.
6, 2013.
She is survived by
her sons and daughter-
in-law, Daniel and
Linda Blank, and
Sallen
Martin Blank; daugh-
ter-in-law, Donna Blank; grandchildren,
Nicole Blank Becker and Justin Becker,
Ivan Blank, Jamie and Charlie Crowell,
William Blank and Isabelle Blank; great-
grandchildren, Henry and Griffin Crowell;
many other loving family members.
Mrs. Sallen was the beloved wife of the
late Edwin Sallen; the cherished mother
of the late Gerald Blank; the loving grand-
mother of the late Brian Blank; devoted
daughter of the late Charles and the late
Bella Mandell, who were the owners and
operators of Eagle Dairy in Detroit.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

57, of West Bloomfield,
died Dec. 3, 2013.
She is survived

Donahue, both of West
Bloomfield; brother and

Berry Sweet of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephew,
Andrew (Stacey) Sweet; niece, Amy Sweet;
great-niece, Samantha Sweet; former
spouse, Dean Donahue; special cousin,
Shelly Kalmus; aunt, Lenore Fogelman;

many other loving family members and
friends.
Mr. Sweet was the sister of the late
Alan Sweet.

Michigan Humane Society. Interment
took place at Clover Hill Park Cemetery
in Birmingham. Arrangements made by

MARTHA TAYLOR, 104, of Southfield,
died Dec. 4, 2013.
She is survived by her nieces and
nephews, Marcia and Dr. Bernard
Shapiro, Donald and Marjory Epstein,
Ellen Wagner and Susan Levy; many
great-nieces, great-nephews, great-
great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was the cherished sister of the late
Betty Taylor, the late Hack Taylor, the late
Mack Taylor, the late Sam Taylor, the late
George Taylor, the late Dorothy Levy, the
late Sally Taylor and the late Elsie Epstein;
the loving aunt of the late Dr. Jerry Taylor
and the late Laura Taylor.
Interment was at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
