Revisit a few
of our favorite
powder and
bathrooms.
Lynne Konstantin I Design Writer
eatured in the debut of
At Home in September
2011, this Bloomfield Hills
bath was created by Jodi Caden of
Birmingham's Caden Design Group.
The design of the spectacular center-
piece of the master bath was born out
of necessity: "There was no space for
a tub, so we put it in the center:' says
Caden. "Today's tubs are so architec-
tural they can often stand on their
own:' Larger floor tiles require less
cleaning, and the mirrors are crafted
from quarter-sawn walnut.
To cap off the year, take a tour
of some of the most soothing and
unique powder and bathrooms that
we have featured in At Home.

In a Birmingham home
built by Alexander V.
Bogaerts + Associates
in Bloomfield Hills, Royal
Oak designer Richard
Ross created a powder
room with a pop of
glamour. The crescent-
shaped Baker demilune
vanity is topped with
a hammered copper
bowl. The clean edges
of the modern faucet
contain the exuberance
of the exquisite sconces.
Designed to look like a
rich, textural fabric, the
wall covering is actually
practical vinyl from
Romo at the Michigan
Design Center. Mother of
pearl frames the mirror,
which reflects a built-in
bookcase in the main
hallway.
