f you're looking for the classic sports
pub experience, look no further than
the Library Sports Pub and Grill, 6363
Haggerty in West Bloomfield. The winner
of the JN's Best Sports Pub, the Library is
peppered with high-definition televisions
to ensure that whatever sporting events
on TV fans want to watch will be available
for their viewing pleasure. It also boasts
an extensive beer menu and is a certified
"Distinguished Master Draught Retailer."
"We concentrate on three things: food,
service and sports," says owner Phil Za-
karia, who opened the pub in 2006. " We
also have very family-friendly prices. We
know the economy is still tough for many of
our customers, so we offer a lot of specials."
Specials at the Library Sports Pub include
two-for-one burgers Saturday and Sunday
until 4 p.m. or half-off pizza from 6 p.m.
to close every Monday for Monday Night
Football fans. And every Saturday night from
10 p.m.-2 a.m., enjoy half-off all alcohol.

Sandwiches are two-for-one on Tuesdays
from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The pub features
Happy Hour 4-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, where
customers enjoy half-off appetizers with the
purchase of two cocktails (drink specials
last until 7 p.m.). Specials are posted on the
pub's website, http://librarypub.com .

Pub and Grill. Play Golf 365 features four
virtual golf simulators using Tru-Golf
technology that allows customers to
"play" the world's best golf courses, from
Pebble Beach to Castle Pines. Several
other choices can be found on its website,
playgolfallyear.com .
Customers at Play Golf 365 have a call
button to order food and drinks from the
Library Pub and Sports Grill next door.
"It's a fun place," Zakaria says. "They also
have shooting simulators for hunters."
The next-door neighbor relationship
with Play Golf 365 was a natural for Li-
brary Sports Pub and Grill. "We are all about
sports," Zakaria says, "a family place where
you can watch the game and get good food
at great prices."
Don't be surprised if you have to wait for
a table during a big game, though. "The last
Lions game there was a line out the door,"
he adds.
