Rochel) of Shaker
Heights, Ohio, cele-
brated her bat mitz-
vah on Oct. 19 with
Congregation JFX
(Jewish Family
Experience). She is
Greff
the daughter of
Nancy and Michael
Greff and the sister of Noah. Sophie's
grandparents are Reva and Sheldon
Segal of Farmington Hills, and Francine
and Herb Greff of Columbus, Ohio.
Sophie is a seventh-grader at the
Agnon School. For her ongoing mitz-
vah project, she spends time with a
girl in her community who has special
needs.

Benjamin Eli
Schlussel will lead
the congregation in
prayer at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield Friday,
Dec. 6, as he cele-
brates his bar mitz-
Schlussel
vah. He is the son of
Becca and Todd
Schlussel and the brother of Aaron.
Sharing in the simchah will be his
grandparents Harriet Jasgur, Jackie
Schlussel and Bruce Schlussel. He is
also the grandchild of the late Robert
Jasgur.
Benjamin attends Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. He felt
it was especially meaningful to raise
funds for the Bear Hug Foundation,
sending underprivileged and at-risk
kids to summer camp.

Evan Ryan Stern
will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah during Havdalah
services on Saturday,
Dec. 7, at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield. He is the
Stern
son of Robyn and
Josh Stern, brother of
Eryn and grandson of Ronald and
Arlene Stern, and Carolyn Godur and
Jaime Godur.
Evan attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at Fleischman Residence
in West Bloomfield, doing various
activities and playing games with the
residents.

Friday, Dec. 6, at
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield. He
is the brother of

Samantha and the
grandchild of Barbara
and Michael Hechtman, and Judy and
George Vine. Evan's late great-grand-
parents are Esther and Leo Silver,
Mollye and Louis Hechtman, Rose and
Harry Share, and Zisel and Moshe
Vine.
Evan attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. He is
donating used sports equipment col-
lected at his party to Boys and Girls
Club of Michigan, which he feels is a
meaningful mitzvah project.

aren and Jack Singer of Boynton
Beach, Fla., celebrated their 50th
anniversary on Nov. 27. They
were honored at a party given by their chil-
dren, Sheryl and Gregg Nathanson, Nancy
and Avery Goldstein, and Sherrie and Danny
Singer. They are the proud grandparents of
Sara, Andrew and Zoe Nathanson, Max and
Emily Goldstein, and Ari and Gabe Singer.
They will continue their celebration with
a riverboat cruise to the Netherlands and
Belgium in the spring.
