Mega-Party
T
More than 1,000 turn out
for ninth Latke Vodka.
his past Saturday was a night for the history
books as Latke Vodka drew the largest
crowd in its nine-year history. "LV9," a
party put on by the Jewish Federation's
NEXTGen Detroit, brought more than 1,000 Jewish
Detroiters in their 20s and 30s to the Royal Oak Music
Theatre for spirits, latkes and a wild night of fun.
Old friends were reunited, new friends were made,
and everyone enjoyed amazing food, dancing, a high-
energy performance by the band Collision Six and
a beautiful menorah lighting for the fourth night of
Chanukah.
"The music was fantastic and the energy of over a
thousand young Jews getting together to connect was
great," said Karen Stoller, Latke Vodka co-chair.
Fellow co-chair Matt Barker adds, "This year's Latke
Vodka was better than we expected, and I am so glad
the Detroit Jewish community has an event like this for
young adults."
