JEWISH COMMUNITY PARACHAPLAINCY TRAINING PROGRAM

TRAINING FOR NEW PARACHAPLAIN VOLUNTEERS

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17TH, 6:30 - 8:30 P.M.

The Jewish Community Chaplaincy Program provides religious, social, and cultural support and
programs for Jewish residents of non-Jewish care facilities throughout the tri-county area. There are
over 1,000 Jewish residents in over 100 facilities in the tri-county area.

Volunteer Opportunities include, but are not limited to: Friendly visiting, which helps residents
hnow that they are not forgotten but are part of our world, Reminiscence Group participation,
which includes sing-a-longs, Holiday Parcel Delivery, assisting with Oneg Shabbat services and other
various programs.

Speakers for this evening will include Barbra Giles, ISLAssociate Director who will speak about
Oafish Senior Life: Programs, Residences A Services

In addition, Carol Rosenberg, Director, Jewish Senior Life Foundation, will welcome us all and
discuss the importance and impact of the Parachaplaincy Volunteer Program in our community,
as well as, Rabbi Dovid Polter and Joanne Kristal highlighting this past year's activities.

Complimentary Dinner will be provided - dietary laws observed

This program will be held at the Fleischman Residence/Blumberg Plaza,
6710 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield, MI, (248) 661 - 2999
(on the Eugene & Marcia Applebaum Jewish Community Campus)
