A student of life,

Ian was an avid
reader, a published
poet who had won
a national award
Rossmoore
for his poetry and a
whiz at Jeopardy.
He played blues on the harmon-
ica and was a volunteer with the
Brighton Men's Transitional Home.
Mr. Rossmoore is survived by
his mother, Shelly Rossmoore of
Huntington Woods; grandmother
Ilene Gittleman; aunts and uncles,
Ted and Barbara Gittleman, Ellen
and Jack Tucker, Dr. Steven and
Annette Rossmoore, Alan and Nancy
Poster, and Dr. Iain and Sandy
McIntyre; many loving cousins,
friends and a dear mentor.
He was the beloved son of the late
Leonard Rossmoore; loving brother
of the late Raymond Rossmoore;
adoring grandson of the late Stan
Gittleman, the late Dr. Harold and
the late Shirley Rossmoore.
Interment was at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery.

DR. RALPH SLOVENKO, 86, of

Farmington Hills, died Nov. 3, 2013.
One of the nation's most respected
experts in forensic psychology,
Professor Slovenko was known for
being outspoken as well as schol-
arly. He was the author of hundreds
of articles and 10 books, including

Psychiatry in Law/Law in Psychiatry.

The book was awarded the Manfred
Guttmacher Award of the American
Psychiatric Association and cited as
"a monumental work:'
"Ralph made outstanding con-
tributions to the fields of law and
psychiatry and had a distinguished
career of more than four decades
at our law school," said Wayne
State University Law Dean Jocelyn
Benson.
Professor Slovenko was active with
the Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield and the Holocaust
Memorial Center in Farmington
Hills.
He is survived by his wife of 20
years, Natalia Lilenko; son, Boris
(Tatiana Nevrych) Korjov; grand-
child, Aleksandra Korjova; sister-in-
law, Paula Slovenko; niece and neph-
ew, Karen (John) Wilkes, Richard
(Joy) Slovenko.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
