will present Dr. Murray Banks,
former professor of psychology
at Long Island University, in a
humorous program, "What to Do
Until the Psychiatrist Comes,"
on Monday evening, at the syn-
agogue. Dr. Banks is currently
writing a syndicated national
column, and is the author of the
book , "How to Live with Your-
self." Friends are welcome.

president of Adas Shalom Sister-
hood, announces that a paid-up
membership luncheon will take
place at 12:30 p.m., Monday, in
the synagogue social hall.
Luncheon arrangements are
directed by Mrs. Herman Littky.
A candle-light ceremony will
be held commemorating the 8th
year of the Sisterhood.
A free membership to the Sis-
terhood for one year will be
given to new brides, children of
members of the Congregation
and Sisterhood.
Mrs. Harry Nachman, program
chairman, announces that a
musical-playlet entitled, " I Re-
member When," written and
directed by Mrs. Joseph Markle,
Will be presented. It tells of the
role of women in the Sisterhood,
synagogue and community. The
following women will partici-
pate:

Lillian Robbins Zellthan will
be the accompanist. English,
Hebrew, and Yiddish songs will
be sung.
The first oneg shabbat of the
season will be held at 2 p.m.,
Saturday, at the home of Mrs.
Jack Klein, 18295 Santa Barbara
Drive, announced Mrs. Dan
Shapiro, oneg shabbat chairman.
Mrs. Jacob E. Segal will give
the opening prayer, and Mrs.
Joe Katchke will review current
Jewish events. The closing pray-
er will be given by Mrs. Joseph
Markel. There will be singing led
by members of the Choral group.
The Sisterhood dramatic
group will re-enact a script from
an Eternal Light radio program
called, "How Uriel Got into
Heaven," written by Morton
Wishengrad. The following
members will appear: Alice Ross,
Muriel Sherbow, Rose Bassin,
Ruth Weinbaum, Betty Cohen,
Gertrude Armstrong, Jean Raz-
nick, Ann Gould, Lillian Wein-
baum and Ann Shapiro.

day evening, at Parkside Hall.
Nationally-known rhymster Bob
Hall will be guest artist. Pisgah
president Philmore Leemanlvill
speak on his recent trip to Is-
rael, and Hy Crystal, executive
director of the local Bnai Brith,
will discuss important develop-
ments in Bnai Brith.

night Monday evening, at the
synagogue. Rev. Phillip W.
Series, Minister of neighboring
Mayflower Congregational
Church, will be guest speaker.
Members of the Mayflower
Men's Club will also participate
in the program. A musical pre-
sentation will be given under
the direction of Cantor Nicho-
las Fenakel. A special feature
of the program will be the pre-
sentation of certificates of serv-
ice to past president of Adas
Shalom's Men's Club from the
National Federation of Jewish
Men's Clubs. A social hour will
follow.
