Michael Eizelman will be recognized
as the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit Federation's 2013
Distinguished Volunteers by the
Association of Fundraising
Professionals on its National
Philanthropy Day, Nov. 13, at a dinner
at the Detroit Marriott at the
Renaissance Center.
Phillips leads her family's Prentis
Family Support Foundation with the
United Jewish Foundation. Among
her long list of volunteer activities, she
is endowment chair for Federation's
Women's' Philanthropy; co-chair,
Grants Planning Committee, Jewish
Women's Foundation; immediate past
president, Michigan State Hillel; and
a board member serving Federation,
Temple Beth El and Jewish Family
Services.
Eizelman is a Federation vice presi-
dent. He is a founder and past presi-
dent of Yad Ezra, a kosher food pantry
in Berkley, and a board member of
Jewish Senior Life. He previously has
held several positions with Federation
and other Jewish organizations. A
founding shareholder of the law firm
of Jackier Gould P.C., he represents a
variety of Jewish and non-Jewish non-
profit organizations in Metro Detroit
area.

Director Designate, a
position that will

2014. Abrams signed
on as DSO Assistant Conductor in
2011. Since then he has curated the
DSO's Young People's Family Concert
and Education Concert series, worked
as cover conductor for the classical
subscription series, built strong rela-
tionships with Metro Detroit audienc-
es through neighborhood concerts and
other forms of community outreach,
and appeared regularly on Live From
Orchestra Hall webcasts in a segment
