READER MINI REVIEW ... From
Dennis Silber ... "After hearing the loud
praises of Karma Sushi Steak Bar here in
Boca Raton, Fla., from lifelong Detroit
friends Carol and Sam Sobel, the four of us
planned an evening there. Our enjoyable
experience was good beyond expectations.
"It is located in a modern and elegantly
furnished new restaurant/bar/lounge and
patio by the fountains in central Mizner
Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our table-
sharing appetizers of popcorn shrimp,
edamame and chicken lettuce wraps, all
of which we found to be even better than
raved about. They were so good that we
agreed that maybe it might have been a
mistake to order a dinner; that we should
have just kept on ordering appetizers,
which we loaded up on.
"But we were glad we also ordered some
dinner, which we shared ... Generously
large and very tasty hamburger, wasabi
tuna mignon with ginger rice and Asian
veggies and the Karma fried rice, loaded
with carrots, red pepper, onion, snow peas
and bean sprouts, rounding out our fill of

good eating for the evening.
"The Karma menu is very extensive,
and when we left we already knew what
we would order next time. The steaks
are wonderful, I'm told, as are the Karma
sushi rolls and sashimi:"
QUESTION & ANSWER DEPT. ... "I
knew Sam Boesky very well when he had
Darbys, and he told me that he wanted to
pay his bills and open his restaurant again
after the fire. Why did you write that he
opened Darbys Stanley Steamer instead?
... Sol "Simmy" Cohen.
[Even though companies many times
expect only a percentage, if anything,
after a fire, Sam had letters sent to every-
one and paid off all his bills in full ... He
settled with the insurance company a year
and nine months after the tragedy and
might have opened again had it not taken
so long ... By then, Sam's wonderful help
had gone elsewhere and he felt it would
have been like starting over again.]
