Hot For Chanukah
A world-renowned glass-blowing studio opens its doors for demonstrations and holiday shopping.

oused in the largest private
glass-blowing studio in the
Midwest are exquisitely
detailed and formed works of art. Crafted
by Pontiac's Epiphany Studios owner and
master glassblower, April Wagner, and
her apprentice, Allison Gurss, the pieces
range from diminutive confections like
festive fall pumpkins and blossoming
flowers to spectacularly sculptural light-
ing installations and floating orbs for pri-
vate collectors and corporate collections,
including Pfizer Inc. and Vladimir Putin.
This season, however, the doors of the
former television repair shop-turned-
4,000-square-foot state-of-the-art hot-
glass studio are flung open to the public
for a special Holiday Show, highlighting
the work of Gurss and featured artisan,
