passionate family man, a fervent
supporter of the Jewish com-
munity, an honorable businessman and a
trusted friend.
Mr. Greenberg, of Franklin, died on
Oct. 19, 2013, at age 83 after a lifetime

company for 45 years. He later started
Ekman Machine Tool Company and
DataNet Quality Systems.
Throughout his career, he demonstrated
his devotion to the community by giving
his time, talent and other resources to a
variety of causes and organizations, Jewish
and secular. Some of these included the
United Way, Jewish Welfare Board, Jewish
Vocational Service, Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, JCC Maccabi Youth Games,
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
and the American Jewish Joint Distribution
Committee.
He had a special affection for the
Jewish Community Center, from its early
days at Meyers and Curtis in Detroit to its
other location in Oak Park and later, West
Bloomfield.
