October is National Orthodontic Health Month!

For those who don't know, October is National Orthodontic Health Month.

This is a month long event organized by the American Association of

Oct. 26, in celebration of his bar mitz-
vah. Sharing in the simchah will be his
proud grandparents Vicki Hayes, Maria
and Stan Francis, Lori and Martin
Weiner, and Val and Lewis Feldman.
Kyle is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
He had a video game sale to benefit
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit as one of his mitzvah projects.

Avery Morgan Geller,

son of Michelle and
Dr. Louis Geller, will
lead the congregation
at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield
Friday, Oct. 25, as he
celebrates his bar
Geller
mitzvah. He is the
brother of Lilly and
Ari, and the grandchild of Lorraine
and Robert Zack, Merilyn and Nathan
Sanders, Cookie and Seymour
Newman, and Sam Geller.
Avery attends Norup International
School in Oak Park. Among his various
mitzvah projects, he felt volunteering
at Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield
was the most meaningful one.

her bat mitzvah at

parents are Lori and
Sam Gray. Her sib-
lings Natalie and
Rachel, as well as her

grandparents Rochelle and Arthur
Lieberman, all shared in the simchah.
Emma is also the granddaughter of the
late Anita and the late Philip Gray.
Emma attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. She felt selling brace-
lets to help Hurricane Sandy victims
and for cancer research was her most
meaningful mitzvah experience.

Bloomfield. She is the

Jacobson, and Elfriede Glancy.
Emma is an eighth-grade student
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. Among
her mitzvah projects, she volunteered
at the Fleischman Residence and JARC.

orthodontists and their patients about protecting their teeth during Halloween,
as well as share information about the benefits of orthodontic treatment.

Drs. Nelson "Nick" Hersh, Marsha Beattie and Amy Isenberg realize that this is

a great opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene.
National Orthodontic Health Month also aims to recognize the dedicated work
of orthodontists like Drs. Hersh, Beattie & Isenberg.

The AAO recommends orthodontic patients avoid the following Halloween
